Why Choose Revitalize SkinMD for Dermal Fillers in Waco?
Revitalize SkinMD’s board-certified physician injector and physician assistant both specialize in and perform a high volume of dermal filler injections. We customize each dermal filler treatment plan after evaluating each client’s unique facial characteristics and facial anatomy. Our goal is to help clients achieve results that look youthful and natural.
What are Dermal Fillers?
Aging gradually results in the formation of deep facial wrinkles and skin folds from volume loss, skin laxity, and supportive bone and fat loss in different areas of the face. This can create a sunken and potentially sagging appearance to the face, which can result in a more tired and weathered appearance even when you feel happy, youthful, and energetic on the inside. For a lot of people, this can result in negativity, impaired self-confidence, as well as decreased happiness and discontent. Luckily, cosmetic dermal fillers like Juvederm, Restylane, and Radiesse have boosted the cosmetic industry by replenishing facial volume loss and reducing deep lines and skin folds, thereby allowing for a refreshed, smooth, natural, and younger appearance.
In addition to dermal fillers, Revitaize SkinMD proudly offers SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM®, an Allergan-crafted skin treatment that uses hyaluronic acid face injections to enhance your skin’s internal hydration. It is clinically proven and backed by clinical studies, SKINVIVE™ significantly improves skin smoothness, hydration, and glow for everyone of all skin types and skin tone. A typical Skin Vive treatment session is just about 15 minutes, making it a perfect lunch-break fix.
Dermal filler types we offer
The purpose of dermal fillers is to restore and provide structure, support, and lift to the skin in different ways to keep the face and neck looking refreshed, natural and balanced. However, not all fillers work the same way and not all providers have expertise with injection techniques to get the best aesthetic results. Revitalize SkinMD offers medical injectors who are in the top 1% of the country who choose from a carefully selected range of dermal filler products to address a range of concerns, including sagging skin, fine lines and skin folds resulting from volume loss, loss of lip definition, sunken eyes, and more.
JUVÉDERM® Collection
This is a trusted and highly popular hyaluronic acid filler line from Allergan Aesthetics and includes products like Juvederm Ultra XC, Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, Juvederm Volbella XC, Juvederm Vollure XC, Juvederm Voluma XC, and Juvederm Volux XC. These fillers are utilized to help with things like restoring lip lines and lip volume, nasolabial folds (laugh lines), providing support under the eyes, lifting the cheeks, balancing the chin, providing jawline definition, and more. Juvederm patients love natural looking results, which can last up to 2 years and possibly longer depending on various factors.
SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM®
This gentle and very light filler product is the first FDA-approved injectable moisturizer. The Skinvive – treatment internally hydrates the skin and thereby improves cheek smoothness and gives skin a healthy glow lasting up to six months.
Restylane® Family
This is another highly popular hyaluronic acid filler line from Galderma and includes products like Restylane-L, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Eyelight, Restylane Kysse, Restylane Controur, Restylane Defyne, and Restylane Refyne. Whereas these fillers have many similar indications for treatment as the Juvederm family, the Restylane products are formulated differently and have different properties such that the look and feel may work better for some patients. For instance, Restylane lip filler (Kysse) delivers natural-moving results, while Lyft provides high-definition contouring for the cheeks and midface. The providers at Revitalize SkinMD have extensive experience with all of the fillers and are able to choose and create a customized treatment plan to get the best results for each client.
Radiesse®
Radiesse is a calcium-based, biostimulatory dermal filler that not only provides an immediate lift and improvement in the skin, but also boosts your natural collagen production for longer-lasting support. Radiesse is commonly used to support cheeks, treat laugh lines, improve texture and volume in the hands, and improve fine lines, wrinkles and mild laxity in the lower face and neck.
Sculptra®
Sculptra is another popular and rapidly growing biostimulatory injectable that works with your body over time to replenish collagen loss and naturally restore facial volume in the temples and cheeks.. It also helps with fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, volume loss and mild laxity in the lower face, and other areas. Sculptra patients often see results that last two years or more, making it one of the most effective collagen-stimulating products available.
How Much Does Dermal Filler Cost in Waco?
The cost of dermal fillers varies considerably depending on multiple factors, including things like which areas are being treated, how much product would be needed to correct the area(s) of concern, choice of filler products, and duration of results expected. Most hyaluronic acid fillers come individually in a 1 ml syringe, which is the equivalent of 1/4th teaspoon of product per syringe. Other products like Sculptra come as a vial and are reconstituted into an injectable solution matrix. Some treatments are one and done and sold by cost of syringe and other treatment areas require several sessions to get optimal results and are sold as a package. Consequently, prices can vary for a given filler treatment.
However, of great importance, even more than cost and choice of filler, is something that comes up time and again in aesthetics. It’s the recognition that the injection techniques used to get the best results and the credentials and experience of the person injecting can vary wildly from place to place, so pricing that is “cheaper” often results in subpar or poor aesthetic results. Unfortunately, we see many examples of this day to day and it gives dermal filler injections a bad name. So choosing highly experienced, medical providers that have expertise in injecting and have done so for a long time is critically important.
At Revitalize SkinMD, our providers assess each client’s areas of concern and provide a customized treatment plan along with a cost breakdown during the consultation. -. Revitalize SkinMD also offers flexible financing options, including CareCredit and Cherry, to make affordable cosmetic injections and other treatments in Central Texas accessible for all of our clients.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dermal Fillers
What are Commonly Used Dermal Fillers and How do they Work?
Juvederm, Restylane, and Radiesse are families of FDA-approved dermal fillers made from hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxyapatite. These are substances naturally found in the human body. They are completely non-animal-based and are designed to restore volume, lift, shape, and smooth out the skin as it ages.
No two fillers are exactly alike, which is why choosing the right one is so important. Different formulations vary in:
-
Elasticity and cohesivity: How well the filler holds its shape and moves with your facial expressions.
-
Moisture retention and tissue integration: How effectively it holds hydration and blends into your natural skin tissue.
-
Lifting power: The amount of structural support it provides.
Selecting a filler is only part of the process. A great result also depends on:
-
Facial anatomy and symmetry: Balancing your natural features and spotting any existing fullness or puffiness so the filler doesn't accentuate it.
-
Practical factors: Your budget, expected downtime, and how long you want the results to last.
-
Injector skill: The medical background and experience of the person performing your procedure.
At Revitalize SkinMD, our experienced physician-injector takes all of these details into account to build a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific goals.
What Does the Procedure Involve?
Dermal Filler injections are an office-based procedure. After assessing appropriate candidacy for treatment, informed consent for the procedure is obtained from the client, and questions are answered by our experienced physician-injector.
The skin is then cleansed using an antiseptic wipe or solution, and the appropriate treatment area may be marked. After numbing the skin with a potent topical anesthetic, small amounts of these products are injected at different depths under the skin using very small needles in precise areas of the face.
The treatment does not involve any surgery or cutting of the skin. The injections give immediate cosmetic results and are continued until the appropriate volume, lift, smoothness, and plumpness are achieved.
The injections are very well tolerated by the vast majority of our clients, although some degree of discomfort, swelling, bleeding, and bruising may be experienced. Post-treatment care instructions are provided to our clients afterward.
Which Areas are Commonly Treated with Dermal Fillers?
- Smoker’s Lines or Lip Lines
- Bags Under the Eyes, also known as Tear Troughs
- Marionette Lines at the Corners of the Mouth
- Chin Augmentation
- Non-surgical Liquid Rhinoplasty
- Jawline Contouring
- Restoration of Wrinkled Hands
- Mid-Face Volume Restoration
- Earlobe Sagging and Wrinkling
Will I Look Different or Unnatural?
The goal of cosmetic injectables is to restore a more youthful and refreshed appearance to your face without looking odd, peculiar, abnormal, or “done”. The mantra here is “less is more” when it comes to cosmetic treatments like dermal filler injections.
In the hands of our experienced physician-injector, the final results look natural and, even though many will notice your fresh and healthier appearance, the results are subtle enough that few will likely know that you’ve had dermal fillers injected without telling them.
How Long Do the Results Last?
How long dermal fillers last depends on several factors, including the filler used, the treatment area, the amount injected, and your individual health and metabolism.
Based on clinical data and experience, typical results last:
-
Lips: 6 to 9 months
-
Nasolabial folds: 9 to 18 months
-
Cheeks: 1 to 2 years
As a general rule, fillers tend to break down faster in high-movement areas of the face compared to areas that move less. Because the body naturally degrades and clears the product over time, follow-up treatments are needed at regular intervals to maintain your results.
Are There Any Side Effects?
When administered by an experienced physician-injector, dermal fillers are safe and effective for the vast majority of people. However, like any medical treatment, they are not completely risk-free.
Because mild to moderate bleeding and bruising can happen, we advise against scheduling injections within 7 days of a party, special occasion, or major event.
Before your treatment:
-
7 days before: Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil), naproxen (Aleve), blood-thinning medications, fish oil, and herbal supplements, unless your medical doctor advises otherwise.
-
3 days before: Do not consume alcohol.
After your treatment: Following your post-treatment care instructions is essential to minimize side effects. Applying ice for 24 to 36 hours after the procedure and eating fresh pineapple can help reduce swelling, discomfort, and bruising. For most patients, these symptoms last about 3 to 7 days, though individual recovery times vary.
Other, less common risks are infrequent. Our physician will go over all potential risks with you during the informed consent process before treatment, giving you time to ask questions and ensure the procedure is right for you.
Who Are Not Candidates for Treatment?
It is not recommended that dermal fillers be injected in patients who are pregnant or nursing. Injections should not be performed if there is an active infection involving the treatment area. Previous hypersensitivity to dermal fillers poses a contraindication to treatment.
Our physician will review your medical history, allergies, medications, and other pertinent information with you prior to treatment, in addition to assessing your face to make sure that you are an appropriate candidate for treatment.
